Description
This Chateau was created in the 1950`s by the late Henri Martin so does not does not appear in the 1855 classification but is equal to many classified wines. The quality of Gloria has improved tremendously over the last few years and this is a top St Julien performer these days. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot with 45% new oak being used. Deep ruby with a purple hue at the rim. On the nose pure red fruits are very evident with hints of cedar and graphite too. Very spicy and peppery on the palate with bramble red fruit and clean, racy acidity. Cedary St Julien tannins give the wine grip, structure and freshness to produce a really gorgeous wine.
