Description
The Clarté de Haut Brion is a second wine of Château Haut Brion. Its originality is partly due to its composition.
Indeed, the Clarté de Haut Brion is the result of the blending of two second wines from the estate. This unusual practice brings a very clear and fruity 2014 vintage, composed of  Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.

Shows excellent depth and richness with sliced apple, apricot and pineapple character. Big and rich. Excellent. This is pretty amazing. 66% Sauvignon Blanc and 33% Sémillon.

The quinine, lemon chiffon and white asparagus notes are gliding together already, with a warm macadamia nut accent adding texture and weight to the finish. Still a little youthfully raw at the very end, but shows lovely concentration and length. Tasted non-blind.

This second wine of whites from both Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion is both rich and intensely crisp. It has a fine blend between great acidity and grapefruit fruit and a more tropical element. The tangy texture is taut with a mineral edge. Drink from 2020.
